It combines high-end performance, advanced camera features, a high refresh-rate display, and a sleek design. Motorola continues its focus on providing a near-stock Android experience while enhancing the phone with practical innovations and meaningful features.

1. Design and Build Quality

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro showcases a sleek and premium design language. The phone features a slim profile with slightly curved edges on both the front and rear, making it comfortable to hold and visually appealing. The back is made from either matte glass or vegan leather, depending on the variant, offering a sophisticated look and tactile grip.

Build quality is solid, with an aluminum frame that adds structural strength. The device is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance, providing protection against immersion in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use in everyday environments and occasional exposure to the elements.

2. Display

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro features a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The panel supports a refresh rate of 144Hz, making scrolling, animations, and gaming feel smooth and responsive.

The display also supports HDR10+, delivering enhanced contrast and color depth, which improves the experience when watching high dynamic range content on platforms that support it. The curved edge design contributes to a more immersive experience and gives the phone a premium aesthetic.

The panel offers high peak brightness, vibrant colors, and deep blacks due to its OLED nature. Motorola also includes a range of display customization settings, allowing users to adjust color saturation and temperature based on their preferences.

3. Performance

At the core of the Edge 60 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. This chipset, built on a 4nm process, offers an excellent balance of power and efficiency. It features an octa-core CPU architecture with performance and efficiency cores that deliver strong multitasking capabilities, app responsiveness, and consistent gaming performance.

The phone comes in configurations with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM, ensuring smooth operation even with multiple apps open. Storage options typically include 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, offering fast read/write speeds. However, the device lacks support for microSD cards, so users must choose storage wisely at the time of purchase.

4. Camera System

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is equipped with a versatile camera system aimed at photography enthusiasts and content creators:

Main Camera: 50MP primary sensor with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), large aperture for improved low-light performance, and fast focusing. This camera is capable of capturing sharp, detailed images with good dynamic range.
Ultra-wide/Macro Camera: A 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens that also functions as a macro camera. This hybrid lens provides a 120-degree field of view for wide scenes, while also allowing for close-up shots with surprising clarity.
Front Camera: 60MP high-resolution selfie camera housed in a centered punch-hole cutout. The front sensor supports 4K video recording and offers various enhancements like face beauty, HDR, and wide-angle group selfies.

The camera app includes a range of features such as Night Vision, Portrait Mode, Dual Capture (recording from front and rear cameras simultaneously), Long Exposure, and Pro Mode for manual settings. AI enhancements help with scene detection, exposure adjustments, and noise reduction.

5. Battery and Charging

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is powered by a 4600mAh battery, optimized through software and hardware to offer a full day of mixed usage. While not the largest battery in its class, the efficiency of the chipset and display ensures respectable endurance.

The phone supports 68W TurboPower fast charging via USB-C, allowing it to charge from zero to around 50 percent in under 20 minutes. This makes it convenient for users who need a quick top-up during the day. Wireless charging is not supported, which may be a consideration for some users, but the fast wired charging makes up for it in most scenarios.

6. Software Experience

The Edge 60 Pro runs on a near-stock version of Android, typically launching with Android 14. Motorola’s software experience, known as MyUX, is lightweight and free from heavy bloatware. The interface stays true to Google’s design principles but is enhanced with a set of useful custom features:

Moto Gestures: Includes intuitive actions like twisting the wrist to open the camera, chopping twice to activate the flashlight, and swiping to shrink the screen.
Moto Display: Offers an always-on display-like experience that shows notifications and controls when the screen is off.
Personalization Options: Allows customization of fonts, icons, accent colors, and themes.

Motorola typically commits to at least two major Android updates and three years of security patches for its devices, providing some level of software longevity.

7. Audio and Multimedia

The phone is equipped with stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos. These offer spatial audio for more immersive media consumption, with clear mids and highs and moderate bass. The phone does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack, so users will need to use USB-C or wireless headphones for audio output.

8. Connectivity and Biometrics

5G Support: Compatible with a wide range of sub-6GHz 5G bands for fast mobile internet.
Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3: Offers fast and stable wireless connectivity with reduced latency.
NFC: Available for contactless payments and quick pairing with compatible devices.
USB-C (USB 3.1): Enables fast data transfer and charging.

For security, the device features an under-display optical fingerprint scanner, which is fast and accurate. Facial recognition is also available through the front camera, though it’s less secure than the fingerprint method.
