Improved Build Quality: Reinforced housing and improved screen materials increase durability for harsh environments.

2. Front and Rear Displays

Front Color Display: A major new feature for the HERO 9. The 1.4-inch front-facing color screen is ideal for vlogging and selfies. It displays a live preview, camera status, or mode.
Rear Touchscreen: The 2.27-inch rear touchscreen is larger than the HERO 8’s, allowing easier touch navigation, framing, and playback.

23.6MP Sensor: A significant leap from the 12MP sensor used in previous models, enabling higher-resolution photo and video capture.

20MP Photos: Captures still images in high resolution with support for RAW and SuperPhoto (HDR + noise reduction).
HindSight: A buffering feature that captures video 15 or 30 seconds before you press the shutter button, ensuring you don’t miss the moment.
LiveBurst: Records 1.5 seconds before and after pressing the shutter, similar to Live Photos, allowing you to select the best frame or save as a short video.

4. Stabilization and Shooting Modes

HyperSmooth 3.0:

- Built-in Horizon Leveling (in-camera or through app), which keeps the horizon stable even if the camera tilts during shooting.
