Logitech MeetUp Mic Extension Cable (10M) – Detailed Feature Description

The Logitech MeetUp Mic Extension Cable (10 meters) is a purpose-designed accessory that enables extended placement of the Logitech Expansion Microphone for MeetUp, offering enhanced flexibility and optimized audio capture in a wider variety of room configurations and is available at Mobihub Electronics Kenya. It is specifically engineered for meeting environments where the default cable length of the Expansion Mic does not provide sufficient range for ideal microphone placement.

Purpose and Use Case

The MeetUp camera system is designed for small to medium-sized meeting spaces, and its expansion mic is typically connected directly via a fixed-length cable. However, in conference rooms with larger tables, non-standard furniture layouts, or integrated AV infrastructure, the default cable length may not reach the desired mic location.

The 10-meter Mic Extension Cable solves this limitation by increasing the distance between the Expansion Microphone and the MeetUp camera, without sacrificing signal quality or reliability. It enables:

Microphone placement in centrally located or acoustically optimal positions.
Cleaner installations with better cable routing options.
Greater flexibility for furniture and room design variations.

Cable Features and Performance

Extended Range: Provides a total length of 10 meters (32.8 feet), more than tripling the reach available with the standard Expansion Mic cable.
Plug-and-Play Compatibility: Uses the same proprietary connectors as the standard mic, allowing quick installation without the need for software, adapters, or configuration changes.
Signal Integrity Maintained: Engineered to carry high-quality audio signals without degradation, ensuring reliable performance even at the extended length.

Build Quality and Materials

Shielded Construction: The cable features internal shielding to protect the signal from interference caused by nearby power cables, wireless signals, or other AV equipment.
Flexible and Durable Jacket: Designed for professional AV environments, the outer layer is durable yet flexible enough to support routing through conduits, under tables, or within cable channels.
Molded Connectors with Strain Relief: Reinforced connector ends provide strain relief to reduce stress on the cable during installation or movement, contributing to long-term reliability.

Installation Flexibility

Ideal for Large Tables: Especially useful in boardrooms or wider huddle spaces where the microphone must be centrally placed for optimal voice pickup.
Clean Cable Management: Supports concealed routing for tidy installations, maintaining a professional appearance in client-facing or executive rooms.
No Signal Boosters Needed: Designed to work directly with the Logitech MeetUp system without requiring signal amplifiers or USB extenders.
