The Tecno Spark 40 Pro is equipped with a large 6.78-inch IPS LCD display. It offers a Full HD+ resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, providing crisp visuals for media consumption, web browsing, and gaming.

One of its standout features is the high refresh rate. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which results in smoother animations and scrolling, a feature not always common in budget and mid-range smartphones.

The display uses a punch-hole cutout centered at the top, housing the front camera. Brightness levels are adequate for both indoor and moderate outdoor use, and color reproduction is balanced, leaning slightly toward vibrant tones.

Performance and Hardware

The Spark 40 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chipset, a refined version of the standard Helio G99. It is built on a 6nm process, providing a solid balance between performance and power efficiency. This chipset features an octa-core CPU, combining two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores and six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores.

The GPU is the Mali-G57 MC2, capable of handling casual to moderately intensive gaming and multimedia tasks.

The device is typically available in two RAM configurations: 8GB RAM (with memory fusion or virtual RAM support up to an additional 8GB), paired with 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. Storage is expandable via microSD card, thanks to a dedicated card slot.

Camera System

The Tecno Spark 40 Pro comes with a dual rear camera setup, though some regions may market it as a triple-lens system with one or more auxiliary sensors.

Main Camera: 108 MP with f/1.9 aperture. This sensor is the primary highlight of the camera system, offering high-resolution photography, detailed daylight shots, and acceptable low-light performance with AI-based enhancements.
Auxiliary Lens: Likely a depth or AI sensor, used for portrait shots and scene optimization.
Front Camera: 32 MP front-facing camera housed in the punch-hole cutout. It supports AI beautification, portrait mode, and front-facing video up to 1080p.

Camera software includes Super Night Mode, HDR, AI Scene Detection, Beauty Mode, and filters for social media-ready photos. Video recording is capped at 2K for the rear and 1080p for the front.

Battery and Charging

The Spark 40 Pro is equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery, designed to last more than a full day under moderate usage. The battery life is one of the phone’s strong points, thanks to the efficient chipset and software optimizations.

Charging is handled via 33W wired fast charging. The charger is usually included in the box, and the device can reach 50% in approximately 30 minutes under optimal conditions.
