Unlike entry-level stabilizers, the Smooth 5 bridges the gap between mobile convenience and cinema-style production, offering full manual control, robust motors, and creative shooting modes ideal for storytelling.

1. Professional 3-Axis Stabilization

At the heart of the Smooth 5 is a high-torque 3-axis stabilization system (pan, tilt, and roll), enabling smooth, shake-free footage even during fast movement or low-angle tracking shots. The motors are stronger and more responsive than those on entry-level models, allowing for greater payload support and real-time correction.

This means even larger smartphones with external lenses or filters stay stable—ideal for mobile cinematographers aiming to replicate high-end camera movement using just their phone.

---

2. Wide Compatibility with Smartphone Rigs

Thanks to its robust motor power and open clamp design, the Smooth 5 supports a wide range of smartphones, including:

• Large flagship phones (even with wide lenses or external microphones attached)

• Additional magnetic lens or filter accessories

• Smartphone filmmaking cages and lighting attachments

This versatility makes it perfect for creators using premium mobile setups, especially those incorporating anamorphic lenses or audio gear.

---

3. Full Manual Control Dial & Multifunction Panel

What sets the Smooth 5 apart is its professional-style control layout, including:

• A large multifunction control wheel: adjust focus, zoom, or roll axis smoothly, just like a cinema lens control ring

• Dedicated buttons for mode switching, shooting direction, and camera features

• Joystick for gimbal movement with precision

• Trigger buttons for locking orientation or activating advanced functions

This layout gives creators true one-handed operation over their shot, allowing for real-time adjustments without interrupting the filming process.

---

4. Creative Shooting Modes

The Smooth 5 is built for cinematic storytelling, with access to multiple shooting modes:

• PF (Pan Follow): Camera pans with handle movement, tilt and roll are locked

• F (Follow): Pan and tilt follow movement for fluid motion

• L (Lock Mode): Camera stays locked in one direction regardless of movement

• POV Mode: All axes follow for immersive, free-form shots

• Vortex Mode: Allows for 360° barrel rolls, great for dramatic effects

• Go Mode: High-speed response for action-heavy scenes

These modes enable creators to capture everything from slow, dramatic push-ins to dynamic action sequences with cinematic fluidity.

5. ZY Cami App Integration

Paired with the ZY Cami app, the Smooth 5 unlocks additional features:

• SmartFollow tracking: Automatically keeps subjects in the frame using AI

• Gesture Control: Start/stop recording or take photos with a hand gesture

• Timelapse, Motionlapse, Hyperlapse: Add dynamic motion to time-based shots

• MagicClone Pano: Composite multiple versions of yourself in one panoramic frame

• Smart templates: Auto-edit features for quick social-ready clips

The app adds layers of functionality that turn casual filming into an organized, streamlined production process.

---

6. Powerful Battery Performance

The Smooth 5 delivers up to 12–13 hours of runtime on a single charge, depending on usage. Key power features include:

• USB-C charging with support for fast charging protocols

• Reverse charging support to charge your phone from the gimbal

• Battery indicators for easy monitoring

This makes the gimbal ready for full-day shooting, even on demanding shoots or while traveling.

---

7. Magnetic Fill Light (Optional with Combo Kit)

Some versions of the Smooth 5 come with attachable magnetic LED fill lights. These compact, powerful lights mount to the gimbal arms and provide soft, adjustable lighting for your subjects. With support for:

• Adjustable brightness and color temperature

• Included diffusers or filters

This lighting setup allows creators to shoot in low-light situations without relying on bulky gear.

---

8. Compact, Fold-Free Design

Unlike foldable gimbals, the Smooth 5 uses a fold-free, ready-to-use design, making it quicker to deploy. The durable frame is crafted from high-quality materials and designed for frequent field use.

While larger than entry-level options, it’s still compact enough for mobile creators and significantly more rugged than lighter models.

---

9. Ideal For:

• Mobile filmmakers using smartphones with cinema-grade add-ons

• Travel videographers who need professional results without a DSLR

• YouTubers, TikTokers, and vloggers who want cinematic polish

• Event or music videographers needing stable, fast handheld movement

• Independent storytellers creating short films or branded content with a smartphone
